We are looking to strengthen our team with a:

 

Legal and Compliance Officer SPC – DACH Region (gn)

 

In this role, you will act as a strategic partner in the area of legal and compliance for our locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will be responsible for developing and implementing complex legal and compliance strategies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and company policies, and advising senior management at the highest level.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of complex contracts and legal agreements at both national and international levels.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal assessments and provide strategic legal advice to minimize business risks and support corporate goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor advanced compliance standards and processes aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Design and lead training programs on legal and compliance topics for executives and employees to enhance awareness and compliance within the organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and proactively manage legal and compliance risks, including the development of risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Work closely with external legal advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal leadership teams to resolve complex legal and compliance issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on compliance topics for top management and the board and conduct regular compliance audits and monitoring activities to ensure the effectiveness of programs.

Your profile:

 

  • You have a completed law degree with the second state examination or an equivalent internationally recognized legal qualification (e.g., business lawyer, Master of Law, or similar qualification with a single-stage legal education).
  • You are admitted as a lawyer in Germany.
  • You bring at least 5-10 years of professional experience in senior legal and compliance positions, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or a highly regulated environment.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of commercial, corporate, and labor law, as well as extensive experience with regulatory requirements and global compliance programs.
  • You possess excellent strategic and analytical skills, with experience advising top management and dealing with highly complex legal issues.
  • You are an excellent communicator and can clearly and convincingly present complex legal concepts at all levels of the organization.
  • You have proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with international stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in German and English; knowledge of Italian is highly advantageous.
  • You work proactively, solution-oriented, and can manage multiple strategic priorities simultaneously.
