Job Purpose

The Portfolio Strategy Lead - ANZ is responsible for strategy planning, product management and solution delivery for the ANZ Recordati Rare Diseases Portfolio. This strategic role will focus on ensuring the organisation is set-up to develop a deep understanding of the customer and patient needs and deliver innovative solutions that improve patient care. The person will lead the Customer Engagement Manager in the delivery of bespoke solutions and marketing tactics. The Portfolio Strategy Lead – ANZ will develop a robust understanding of the patient demand and translate this into financial and demand forecasting, including strategic guidance and portfolio prioritisation. This role is critical to the success of the organisation and will be an integral part of the cross-functional team. It will report directly to the General Manager ANZ and be working side by side with medical, digital and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Collaborating cross-functionally to define a product vision aligned with business goals. Leveraging disease area expertise to inform portfolio decisions. Driving innovation and defining the product roadmap for long-term growth. Monitoring product performance metrics to guide strategy.

Core Product Management: Driving commercial success by understanding customer and patient needs and developing innovative solutions. Gathering insights and integrating them into product strategy. Collaborating with the Customer Engagement Manager to deliver impactful solutions that enhance patient care. Co-creating solutions with customers to improve diagnosis, access to expertise, and treatment management. Acting as a cross-channel engagement expert to improve patient outcomes. Disseminating tools and resources to field teams. Engaging with external stakeholders like medical societies and health establishments. Contributing to the country Agile team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensuring alignment between commercial, global product, and enabling functions. Leading cross-functional teams to execute the product roadmap. Supporting the sales team in defining performance measures. Communicating product updates to stakeholders. Developing robust patient demand and financial forecasting.

Team & Thought Leadership: Coaching and mentoring the Customer Engagement Manager. Championing best practices for product adoption. Providing thought leadership, demonstrating deep product knowledge and understanding of customer needs. Staying current with scientific developments. Identifying external opportunities. Building a high-performing team. Pursuing self-development and inspiring others. Ensuring operational excellence. Bringing curiosity, diversity, empathy, and a strong sense of purpose to the team.

Required Education

Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or Science preferred. 5-10 years of pharmaceutical sales and marketing management.
