Job Purpose

The Rare Disease Manager will be empowered to optimise the Recordati Rare Disease Portfolio by co-creating and delivering solutions along the patient journey, which will lead to enhanced patient and physician experience and improve patient outcomes. The role is reporting to the Rare Disease Lead ANZ.

Key Responsibilities

Discover the needs: 

  • Lead customer insights generation for the assigned geography, supporting integration into the national strategy
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the local patient journey / Key Drivers / Referral Networks / Influence flow within disciplines and accounts to identify insights and pain points for co-creation opportunities
  • Use data and analytics to identify opportunities to unblock local challenges for patients
  • Develop clear prioritisation to optimise the RRD portfolio by account
  • Lead discussions to identify physician/patient’s need/problem(s). Digital profiling of physicians to optimise a personalised engagement plan
  • Seek customer feedback to improve our solutions and experience we develop

Design the tailored experience: 

  • Localise the brand strategy to optimise patient outcomes in assigned geography. This includes a lead role in mapping/profiling key stakeholders and defining specific solutions. Develop, implement and measure the progress of business plans ensuring they are designed to improve the speed and ease of patient access to diagnosis, expertise and treatment
  • Leverage Profiling / Segmentation / Digital affinity to create a superior customer experience powered by omnichannel to maximise impact (working closely with Digital, Marketing and the Agile team)
  • Co-creation planning with customers to deliver solutions and services along the patient journey. Solutions will focus on enhancing diagnosis, access to expertise, building up multi-disciplinary collaboration to enhance treatment diagnosis and experience to improve patient outcomes. Ability to work in an Agile environment

Deliver the experience and impact:

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of relevant disease states, RRD’s products and the competitive landscape, and evolving market trends within the Australian healthcare sector. Leverage this knowledge to establish strong relationships with HCPs as a trusted advisor
  • Coordination of the implementation of bespoke solutions
  • Orchestrate multiple digital resources, making effective use of available technologies, digital assets, and channels to help create a true omnichannel experience based on the customer preferred channel of engagement
  • Leverage superior therapeutic area and brand knowledge to identify competitive advantage and differentiation for RRD products. Personalised communication and scientific exchange using stakeholder-relevant material via HCP preferred channel, leveraging digital channels
  • Drive investments for greatest impact
  • Work cross functionally to address and resolve any concerns that may arise (e.g., product quality, access, reimbursement, distribution, etc.)
  • Ultimately delivering outstanding commercial results as a result of creating a positive impact on patients and physicians

Required Education

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Business, Life Sciences or Medicine strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Strong Clinical background.
  • 5-10+ years relevant experience in rare disease, haematology/oncology, endocrinology
  • Strong patient empathy
