Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager’s role is to promote the Recordati Rare Disease portfolio, to identify key accounts, and establish partnerships with key Health Care Professionals (HCPs), hospital pharmacists, payors and any other key stakeholder at a local level (hospitals).

Responsible and accountable for the sales of Recordati RD products to new and established hospital accounts to achieve sales objectives and greater market penetration in Finland and Baltics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply to GDP and PV requirements, national law´s, national Ethical guidelines, local and regional guidelines and internal SOP´s.
  • Reporting AEs and product complaints according to the company processes.
  • Build cross-functional Regional and Account plans for designated geographical area and execute on agreed plan.
  • Schedules daily appointments and makes preplanned sales presentations about the company’s products to customers such as doctors, nurses and pharmacies to reach or exceed the sales targets.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure timely solutions.
  • As being accountable for the business results of the territory the KAM will:
    • Develop and maintain account plan. To include key metrics to identify brand and / or partnership opportunities.
    • Provide up to date local intelligence via the CRM as agreed with local Line Management.
    • Make recommendations for local initiatives or strategies based upon local market access conditions.
    • Participate in medical/pharmaceutical events (congresses, symposia, seminars).
    • Obtain and provide information on the properties of promoted products.
  • Relays relevant market information to the cross-functional team.
  • Implement and drive projects to enhance customer engagement.
  • Deliver agreed launch KPI’s and sales targets, effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist with development of a business plan with short, medium and long-term objectives in line with the regional and corporate business objectives to drive future business opportunities for product portfolio.
  • Along with marketing and medical departments, develop and implement KOL engagement strategy.
  • Support the cross-functional team in any need regarding Regional access.
  • Engage with Hospital pharmacists and other access local stakeholders implementing relevant projects to differentiate RRD and our portfolio.
  • To be flexible and accountable in amending the local plan based on local market access conditions.

Required Education

  • University degree
  • Relevant scientific background

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5-year experience from pharma industry preferably within endocrinology and/or Rare Diseases/Rare oncology and experience in working with Hospital drugs.
  • Experience/involvement in a successful recent product launch.

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of local market access/payor experience (hospital pharmacists and access process in the hospital setting) is essential (depending on country specificities)
  • Experience in digital multichannel impactful customer interaction. Describe previous experience both in systems and in personalized contents. Maximize impact of multichannel/digital tools and strategy on customers in his/her territory.
  • Excellence communication skills to drive impactful conversations with customers on phone, video, email, text face to face
  • Project management successful experience with focus on customer interaction for promotional purposes.
