Job Purpose
As Country HR Director France, you will lead the people and Culture agenda across the entire Recordati organization in France, acting as the single HR point of accountability and coordination in-country across all Business Units, corporate functions and industrial operations, including plants where applicable.
Acting as a trusted strategic partner to the Country leadership and local senior stakeholders, you will ensure that the country benefits from an integrated, coherent and business-oriented people strategy, aligned with local priorities and Recordati’s global People & Culture agenda.
You will play a critical role in ensuring strong organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent pipelines, employee engagement and cultural alignment across France, while also serving as the key interface between the country and Group HR Centres of Expertise. In this role, you will help make the matrix work effectively at local level, ensuring clarity, consistency and high-quality HR support across the full employee population.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the people and culture strategy for France across all business units, functions and operations, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the wider global HR agenda.
- Act as the single HR contact point in-country, ensuring joined-up HR leadership, visibility and coordination across the French organization.
- Partner with country leadership, General Managers, plant leadership and functional leaders on strategic people matters, including organizational design, workforce planning, capability building, leadership effectiveness and succession planning.
- Ensure consistency and coherence of HR practices across the country, balancing business needs, local realities and global principles.
- Oversee and coordinate the full range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, employee relations, retention, reward and offboarding.
- Lead the execution of core annual HR processes across the country, including performance reviews, talent reviews, succession planning, salary review, incentive processes and workforce planning cycles.
- Drive talent and succession initiatives to build strong pipelines for critical roles and strengthen long-term organizational capability across France.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on team effectiveness, organizational health, leadership capability, employee engagement and change management.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture, reinforcing Recordati’s values and helping leaders create an environment where people feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
- Ensure compliance with French employment legislation, internal policies and governance requirements, managing employee relations matters with sound judgment, consistency and appropriate risk management.
- Partner closely with Group HR Centres of Expertise and shared HR teams to ensure effective deployment of HR policies, processes and initiatives, while adapting solutions to local business and operational needs.
- Support transformation and change initiatives across the country, helping to embed new structures, ways of working and cultural evolution.
- Use people data and insights to support decision-making, identify priorities, monitor organizational health and improve business performance.
- Provide leadership to the local HR team, where applicable, ensuring clear priorities, strong execution and a high standard of service to the business.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline.
Required Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in senior HR leadership roles, preferably as HR Head in France within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing or other regulated industries.
- Strong experience operating in a complex, matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and business lines in an international environment
- Strong knowledge of French labour law, local HR practices & requirements, dealing with employee representatives
- Proven track record of partnering effectively with senior leaders on strategic people, organizational and cultural topics.
- Broad HR leadership experience across talent management, succession planning, organizational development, employee relations, change management and reward processes.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes and operational priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the credibility to operate at senior leadership level.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
