Job Purpose

The France & Exports Head of Controlling will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations within the French S&PC affiliate (Laboratoires Bouchara Recordati) and manage a team of two finance controllers. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in guiding the team towards achieving our financial objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:
•    Lead and manage a team of finance professionals within the French organization, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
•    In charge of the Monthly Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting and Long-Range Plan processes in coordination with the business regional functions
•    Provide strategic financial guidance to the French organization, supporting decision-making processes
•    Oversee the financial reporting for the French legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, analysis, and consolidation of financial statements.
•    Identify key financial trends, variances, and areas of improvement, and provide actionable insights to drive performance.
•    Monitor working capital, providing recommendations to optimize financial resources and mitigate risks.
•    Support as needed internal/external audits
•    Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and proactively communicate any changes to the finance team.
•    Develop and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Operations, HR, Tax and Legal, to support strategic initiatives and drive business growth.
•    Be an active member of the Finance Global S&PC community

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

•    Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably with managing experience within a pharma multinational organization.

Technical Competencies

•    Proficiency in financial systems and tools (SAP, Hyperion, etc.) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
•    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).

•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
•    Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
•    Strong Business acumen, proactive and with agile mindset
•    Proven Leadership in managing finance teams, providing guidance, and driving performance.
•    Ability to work collaboratively, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Languages

Fluent in English and French with proficiency in additional languages being advantageous.
