Job Purpose

  • Ensure "good" management of the packaging operations, distribution of products manufactured at the Nanterre site and reception of semi-finished products, articles, packaging and their storage in accordance with current regulations (Gxp, H&S and Labour Law) ensuring timely deliveries of products to customers
  • Manage the stakeholders in compliance with the applicable regulations and company quality policies
  • Manage, train and evaluate staff under his/her responsibility.
  • Implement plans to improve productivity, quality, safety and the environment.
  • Implement, monitor and communicate performance indicators
  • Manage the budget and validated investments
  • Be the back up of the Plant mangers in case of his/her absence

Key Responsibilities

  • Make sure that:
    • The production and distribution/logistic processes are clearly defined and systematically reviewed
    • The processes are reproducible in order to produce drugs that meet their specifications
    • Staff shall be equipped with suitable tools in order to perform pharmaceutical activities
    • Instructions and procedures are written in an appropriate style using a clear wording
    • Operators are trained to correctly implement Standard Operative Procedures
    • Complaints about products placed on the market shall be examined, causes of defects investigated and appropriate measures taken.
    • The qualifications and validations were carried out according to the approved master plan;
    • Ensure Good hygiene on site
  • Perform following tasks :
    • Write/check instructions and verify their strict execution
    • Propose and implement improvement plans (Productivity/Safety/Environment/Quality)
    • As the team leader, guides, motivates and evaluates his teams, if necessary takes disciplinary measures
    • Participate in the annual quality review and internal audits.
    • Establish the preventive and curative maintenance program for production equipment
    • Manage site maintenance subcontractors (annual work planning, work monitoring, etc.)
    • Establish the annual operating budget for its activities (Expenses, CAPEX, Personnel)
    • Updates the documentation related to production, in particular procedures and documents,
    • Regularly "reports” the activity to his /her manager through a dashboard and performance indicators
    • Monitor operating budget (maintenance, O15 production consumables, temporary workers, etc.)
    • Follow his/ her team’s training plan

Required Education

Scientific background (i.e. Pharmacist, Industrial Engineer…)

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Production / manufacturing are mandatory. 
  • Should be a doer, taking responsibilities on subjects with strong people management skills
  • Proven experience in the field of Production and Distribution/Logistics of pharmaceutical products. 

Technical Competencies

Computer knowledge (Office package, SAP)
