Job Purpose

We are looking for a team member will join the pharmacology laboratory within the preclinical research group. As part of this team, she/he will conduct pharmacological and pharmacokinetic experiments, primarily using animal models. The role offers opportunities to collaborate closely with scientists and researchers, contributing to innovative projects that advance our understanding of disease and drug development. The person will report directly to the Head of Pharmacology Laboratory and work alongside a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

•    Design, execute, and analyse pharmacological and pharmacokinetic experiments, mainly using animal models. 
•    Actively participate in scientific discussions. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support preclinical research projects. 
•    Maintain accurate records and documentation of experimental procedures and results. 
•    Support the development and implementation of new methodologies and technologies in the laboratory.

Required Education

Degree in Pharmacology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline (PhD preferred). 

Required Skills and Experience

•    At least 5 years of experience in laboratory research. 
•    Strong expertise in mice handling, drug administration, organ collection and dissection, as well as surgical procedures. 
•    Mandatory certification to work with animals according to DL 26/2014 (at least mice; experience with rats is a plus). 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 
•    Adaptability, curiosity, and a proactive approach to scientific challenges.    

Required Languages

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required).
