Job Purpose

Recordati, within its ESG Unit based in Milan, is searching for a Group ESG  Senior Specialist reporting to the Head of Group ESG. The candidate will be involved in the proactive implementation of the Group's sustainability activities: from the implementation of the sustainability projects to the monitoring of ESG objectives, to the drafting of the Sustainability Report in line with the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements, to stakeholder engagement activities and materiality analysis, to the dialogue with ESG rating agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of draft Sustainability Report and support the implementation of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD): e.g. gap analysis of the Group's current sustainability disclosure & reporting process vs the new requirements, collaborating with other Corporate Functions to collect and consolidate quantitative and qualitative ESG data, support the related third-party audit activities
  • Support the definition and monitoring of sustainability plan and targets including climate change/environmental strategy (calculation of scope 3 emissions, definition of energy efficiency targets/projects, etc.)
  • Support the dialogue with the rating agencies & indices and fill in ESG questionnaires (CDP, MSCI ESG Research, ISS ESG, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics)
  • Support in the materiality analysis and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Support in the sustainability policy development
  • General support to affiliates/departments on ESG matters
  • Constantly benchmark the best practices in sustainability identifying improvement actions and support in actively monitoring sustainability legislation (ex. EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, etc.)

Required Education

  • Preferably Economics degree or Environmental Engineering

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5/6 years of experience
  • Similar roles in audit & advisory and/or multinational companies

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of the main frameworks/reporting standards and sustainability ratings (CDP, MSCI ESG Research, ISS ESG, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, etc.), Environmental topics knowledge (e.g. Scope 3)
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
