Job Purpose

We are looking for a Category Specialist - CMO Specialty & Primary Care (Non Pharma) to streghten the team in managing the supplier panel for production procurement. 

Key Responsibilities

- Participation in drawing up technical specifications
- Launch and follow-up of calls for tender and analysis of proposals
- Selection of CDMOs, suppliers and service providers
- Negotiate industrial purchases on optimal terms in terms of price, lead times, quality and service
- Drafting and managing supplier contracts
- Monitoring the proper application of negotiated contractual terms and managing claims and disputes
- Integrate the CSR dimension into your purchasing actions
- Monitoring of performance indicators, both quantitative and qualitative
- Supplier assessments and associated action plans

Operations management
- Completion of tools/dashboards
- Business reviews

Market and needs analysis
- Identify and anticipate risks that could have an impact on the market and activities
- Anticipate production needs according to supplier availability and constraints
- Define purchasing plans for new product launches
- Management of flows (physical and information) to optimize production schedules, reduce storage costs, ensure reliable delivery times, and guarantee availability on the market.

Required Education

Chemical engineer and/or business school graduate. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • More than 5 years' experience in Technical Purchasing (Production) & Non-Pharmaceutical Sourcing, on an international scope
  • Familiar with GMP standards and know how to implement them in a "Purchasing & Sourcing" context and with the supply chain (including incoterms) and procurement
  • Knowledge on how to optimize lead times according to forecast/ shelf life/ stock coverage/ CDMO constraints.
  • Good knowledge on contract law applicable to purchasing and the pharmaceutical industry, and with the application of ethical rules and anti-corruption practices.
  • Curious, dynamic and rigorous by nature,
  • Adaptable and reliable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling to interact easily with all internal and external contacts.
  • Analytical and synthesizing mind is an asset for this position.
