Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager’s role is to promote the Recordati Rare Diseases Oncology and Endocrinology Franchise portfolio, identify key accounts, and establish partnerships with key Health Care Professionals (HCPs), hospital Pharmacists, payors and any other key stakeholders at a local level (hospitals). The KAM is accountable for the business results of his/her territory. 

The territory will be Canary Islands. Candidates must be based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Key Responsibilities

The Key Account Manager will build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and leverage customer insights to develop strategies and solutions, facilitating access to the hospital's company portfolio.

Collaboration with local HCPs will be key to ensuring appropriate prescribing of Recordati Rare Diseases medications. 

  • Territory planning and analysis.
  • Business planning.
  • Implementation of local account plans.

Administration, including tracking implementation of plans and achievement of objectives using company systems and own processes and using these methods to identify gaps in performance and plan remedial actions.

Required Education

Life science degree or higher qualification is needed, and relevant training in rare diseases, haem/oncology/endocrinology.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years pharmaceutical Industry experience in a hospital setting.
  • Rare Diseases/Haematology/Oncology/Endocrinology/niche/speciality product experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local market access/payor experience (hospital pharmacists and access process in the hospital setting) is essential.
  • Experience in digital multichannel impactful customer interaction. With evidence of previous experience both in systems and in personalised content to maximise the impact of multichannel/digital tools and strategy on customers in his/her territory.
  • Excellent communication skills to drive impactful customer interactions via phone, video, email, text or face-to-face.
  • Project management successful experience focusing on customer interaction for promotional purposes.
