Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager’s role is to promote the Recordati Rare Diseases Endocrinology Franchise portfolio, identify key accounts, and establish partnerships with key Health Care Professionals (HCPs), hospital Pharmacists, payors and any other key stakeholders at a local level (hospitals). The KAM is accountable for the business results of his/her territory. 

The territory will be Madrid and Central Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales, objectives and KPIs in territory, through successful negotiations with the relevant customers.
  • Provide information to HCPs on scientific information on rare diseases and Orphan Drugs environment and RRD as a Company, through an Omni-channel approach
  • Have regular face to face meetings with hospital practitioners and KOL’s
  • Define action plans for the region and products
  • Organise scientific meetings with opinion leaders
  • Attend congresses to promote RRD products
  • Facilitate the territory market access with local payers and hospitals
  • Regular analysis of the patient tracker, treatment trends, field reality and its specific needs
  • Provide market update in business meetings, and prepare regular reports on his/her activity
  • Ensure RRD guidelines are respected
  • Responsible for and stay within the local regional budget
  • Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of the product, market and stakeholders
  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholders (Medical Affairs/Marketing etc.) to agree on key account plan objectives/responsibilities.

Required Education

  • Life science degree or higher qualification is needed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience in a hospital setting as KAM.
  • Endocrinology/Rare Disease/speciality product experience preferred.
  • Experience in digital multichannel impactful customer interaction. With evidence of previous experience both in systems and in personalised content to maximise the impact of multichannel/digital. tools and strategy on customers in his/her territory.
  • Project management successful experience focusing on customer interaction for promotional purposes.
