Compliance Officer. Madrid

Job Purpose
In accordance with corporate compliance guidelines, act as a true compliance business partner by providing guidance and assistance to Recordati Spain across all functions (including but not limited to Commercial -Sales and Marketing-, Medical, HR, Finance, Regulatory and Pharmacovigilance), identifying and delivering the most appropriate and practical solutions and recommending a course of action aimed at mitigating compliance risks, in compliance with applicable laws and codes.
To be a compliance business partner with a focus on ethics, anti-bribery, healthcare compliance (e.g. interaction with HCPs, HCOs, grants, donations etc.), data privacy, anti-money laundering, anti-trust, trade sanctions, disclosure and transparency obligations.
Guarantee compliance with legal requirements, enable and drive ethical business conduct through the effective implementation of Group Ethical Code, Group Anti Bribery Program and Group Policies.
Based in Madrid
Key Responsibilities
Establish, review and promote Compliance standards and procedures for Recordati Spain according to local regulations, applicable codes of practice and Group policies, in collaboration with the Legal & Compliance Director Spain and Portugal and the Regional Compliance Officer Southern Europe.
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and good practices.
Provide guidance and support to Recordati Spain on compliance processes/issues by providing practical compliance advice with special focus on healthcare compliance and data privacy.
Advice, review and approve (where applicable) commercial and scientific activities with HCPs/HCOs and Patient Associations.
Identify risks and optimize procedures and controls.
Train employees and business partners on compliance guidelines, policies and best practices.
Perform due diligence and conduct business compliance reviews including monitoring activities on the basis of approved plan or ad-hoc request from Legal & Compliance Director.
Support in internal and external audits and investigations.
Required Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Law or equivalent (finance, business administration)
Required Skills and Experience
At least 6 years of proven experience in Compliance roles within the pharmaceutical industry/life sciences.
Strong knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations (EFPIA Farmaindustria) and data privacy regulation
Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
Certified compliance professional is a plus.
