Purchasing Specialist-Indirect Procurement

Job Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist serves as the primary contact and manages relationships with suppliers. This role is responsible for price negotiations, order management, and post-PO follow-up when needed.
Additionally, the Purchasing Specialist plays a key role in various procurement activities, demonstrating strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and a strategic approach to process improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement.
- Excellent verbal and written English proficiency.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications and SAP MM Module.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Data analysis and numerical skills, with the ability to evaluate, analyse, and present data effectively.
- A strong team player, result-oriented, self-confident, and open-minded.
- Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts while balancing multiple priorities.
- No restrictions for international and domestic travel.
- Valid driving license with the ability to actively drive.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage indirect purchasing activities, particularly in service acquisitions, operational expenses, IT, marketing, human resources, and facility management.
- Contribute to achieving budget targets by implementing effective action plans and reporting results regularly.
- Monitor market trends, develop price escalation models, and adjust strategies based on market conditions.
- Prepare cost-saving plans and ensure visibility by regularly reporting results.
- Oversee end-to-end purchasing processes, from pre-PO to post-PO management.
- Lead business reviews with suppliers, assessing supplier performance and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Conduct price negotiations and develop savings plans to maximize profitability.
- Implement and manage change control processes in coordination with suppliers and relevant departments.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to optimize procurement strategies and spending.
- Execute short-term and long-term cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining high ethical standards, complying with legal regulations and company ethical codes.
