You are an experienced marketing leader with a proven track record of driving successful product launches above-market. You combine deep therapeutic understanding with strong commercial expertise, enabling you to accelerate uptake in early-launch countries while shaping strategies to unlock access in new markets. Thriving in highly cross-functional, matrixed environments, you unite international and local teams around a common strategy, where collaboration and influence are as critical as understanding local market needs. You are equally comfortable providing strategic direction and rolling up your sleeves to support operational execution.
As International Marketing Lead Cardiovascular, you will serve as the strategic leader and central point of coordination for Recordati’s cardiovascular portfolio which exists of several established products. The focus of this role however is on Vazkepa®, which is currently in launch phase and expanding its presence across Europe. The International Marketing Lead will be pivotal in sustaining momentum in early-launch countries while preparing upcoming markets for a strong, aligned launch. You will drive consistent brand positioning and messaging, ensure strategic alignment across regions, and maximize performance through insight generation, cross-functional collaboration, and launch excellence — enabling both immediate impact and long-term scalability.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Strategy & Positioning
- Own and drive the international (pre-launch and launch) Vazkepa strategy, including brand positioning, messaging, and launch roadmap.
- Develop the HQ Strategic Plan in close collaboration with HQ and country cross-functional teams, ensuring strategic alignment while allowing local adaptation where appropriate.
- Define success metrics, set clear KPIs, and guide prioritization of international and market-specific launch activities.
- Integrate omnichannel strategies by leveraging Recordati priority channels to support scalable, personalized HCP engagement and content delivery across countries.
2. Cross-functional Leadership & Country Support
- Lead the international cross-functional brand team to ensure clear understanding and execution of strategy, deliverables, and in-market activation.
- Build strong partnerships and collaborate with HQ and local cross functional teams to ensure empowerment, accountability, co-creation and alignment.
- Develop and manage HQ deliverables such as the (non) branded narrative, patient profiles, CLM content, and HCP personas, ensuring timely and effective local implementation.
- Lead and execute HQ tactics such as international congress presence, HQ promotional assets, and support key medical education initiatives.
- Maintain visibility of progress, risks, and milestones across priority markets, providing proactive support to ensure launch readiness and issue resolution.
3. Insights, Launch Readiness & Best Practice Sharing
- Establish and lead a standardized launch readiness framework, including capability assessments, training programs, and readiness checklists across affiliates.
- Identify and facilitate sharing of launch learnings and best practices between countries to accelerate launch success and drive synergies.
- Collect and synthesize market insights, competitive intelligence, performance data, and customer feedback to inform international brand decisions and refine strategy.
- Systematic monitoring of competitor activity and evolving market dynamics to ensure timely adaptation of messaging and positioning.
4. Unlocking & Expanding Access
- Collaborate with the Market Access, Pricing, and Reimbursement teams to design and execute market-specific access strategies, ensuring the brand achieves optimal market access and reimbursement outcomes.
- Support the creation of business cases for market entry, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of financial viability, pricing models, and fit for purpose go to market model.
- Ensure the development of clear, compelling value communication for use in market access negotiations, focusing on the product's differentiation and the overall value proposition for healthcare systems.
- Plan for post-launch optimization, lifecycle indications and long-term differentiation.
5. P&L and Budget Management
- Oversee P&L across markets, provide forecast guidance and ensure resource optimization across the territory.
- Manage the HQ brand budget, ensuring effective use of funds, alignment with priorities, and minimizing duplication across geographies.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry, with significant experience in marketing and above-country roles.
- Proven track record in leading successful above-market product launches, ideally in the cardiovascular disease space.
- Deep understanding of the cardiovascular treatment landscape, including evolving standards of care, guideline development, and payer expectations.
- Knowledge of the MA&P landscape in EU markets and experience in shaping strategies to support access and accelerate uptake in launch countries.
