EMEA Financial Controller

Job Purpose
EMEA Finance controller is a key member of EMEA Finance team reporting to Finance Director EMEA Rare Disease.
The purpose of the role is to support business leaders in selected countries by providing qualitative, accurate and timely financial information including budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial aspects of the respective countries including month-end closing, budgeting and long-range planning.
- To take a leading role in the annual budgeting process, by working with the country leadership and management teams to set a fair, but challenging budget including Revenue and Spend.
- Partner with the management team to build long-term financial plans and scenarios.
- Responsible for compliant and timely month-end closing including intercompany transactions as well as monthly performance analysis including commentary on deviations.
- Drive and/or support decision making through extensive financial and quantitative analysis, including analysis of products performances including Gross to Net and margin.
- Support the preparation and presentation of business reviews
- Lead and oversee updates & upgrades to existing systems and tools, as well as processes.
- Lead and prepare business cases or ad hoc analysis
- Be a role model within the global Global Finance team
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, commerce, economy or other related fields
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 8 years of experience as Financial Controller in international companies
- Strong analytical skills, attention to details, organizational skills, problem solving orientation
- Very good understanding of accounting principles
- Business partnering experience supporting senior management
- Knowledge of SAP 4/H, Oracle suites, Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Power Point, expert of reporting consolidate system like Hyperion/Planning
- Teamwork aptitude and positive approach, proactivity and collaborative attitude oriented to achieve objectives
- Ability to manage and support several projects simultaneously
- Willingness to learn, rigorous, goal oriented
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and to balance various changing priorities in a highly dynamic environment
- Familiarity with the specifics of the pharmaceutical market preferred
- Experience with intercompany processes including Transfer Pricing, Tax and Legal Entity reporting is a strong plus

- Strong understanding of Business Information systems (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Power BI)
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and multicultural environment while juggling multiple responsibilities.
