Job Purpose

The MENA region (Middle Eats and North Africa) represents a strategic market for recordati Rare Diseases. Today, we are expanding our presence in the Gulf region. By combining our global expertise with the richness of opportunities in the region, we aim to create meaningful value for local communities while reinforcing our position as a key internationl player.

The Gulf Key Account Manager will support the achievement of business goals across the Gulf region by implementing value-based solutions with designated Key Account ; being responsible for the acheivement of specific KPIs for assigned accounts; to set the strategy for positionning the company as the preferred partner of choice with assigned Key Accounts in the Gulf region ; to support the creation of a customer-centric approach across the Gulf countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient access to medical solution on key accounts through timely access to hospital formularies. 
  • To meet/exceed key KPIs and Accounts’ Targets 
  • Sets business plans, priorities, budgets and performance objectives under the line manager supervision
  • Ensures cross-functional understanding of these plans with other key functions.
  • Ensures fulfillment of contractual obligations with Key Account customers.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the local market/  competitors
  • Provides expert insight into the local healthcare system, legislation and their impact on Key Accounts.
  • Ensures access and build, maintains strong relationship on Key Account, Opinion leaders and Legislative decision-makers in order to achieve a favorable position for the company portfolio.
  • Performs and reports on competitive intelligence activities 
  • Develop and implement business/action plans 
  • Deliver quality medical education presentations in a variety of settings.

Required Education

Life science degree or higher qualification is needed and/or relevant experience in rare disease, endocrinology

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the pharmaceutical company ideally in the hospital setting. International / Middle East experience would be a plus.
  • Rare Disease / Endocrinology / niche / speciality produc experience.
  • Experience / involvement in a successful recent product launch.
  • Knowledge of local market access / payor experience (hospital pharmacists and access process in the hospital setting) is essential 
  • Effective business relationship with own Key Accounts to deliver current and future business opportunities. 
  • Excellence communication skills to drive impactful conversation with customers
  • Always maintain the highest standards of ethical behavior, behaving responsibly and professionally, in accordance with pharmaceutical industry codes of practice and Client’s procedures.
