Job Purpose

Area Sales Manager will lead sales operations for Recordati originals portfolio across a designated region (East Romania)  and will manage a team of Medical Representatives, achieve sales targets, and successfully implement marketing and commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of 8 sales professionals to exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for our original products portfolio.
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies, including KOL engagement.
  • Analyze market data, competitor activities, and performance metrics to optimal implement promotional activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with marketing, medical affairs, and supply chain for successful product launches.
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture through training, feedback, and engagement meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain accurate CRM reporting.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Business Administration, or related field, will be a plus.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales, with 2+ years in a managerial role for originals/branded products.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, sales growth, and product launches in competitive markets.
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel proficiency for data analysis and forecasting).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; fluent in Romanian and English.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (50-60% regionally).
  • Knowledge of Romanian pharma market dynamics and key stakeholders (hospitals, distributors).
