Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager has full accountability for territory business performance within assigned geographical area (Northern Netherlands). Responsible for producing and implementing territory business plan, visiting and selling to target decision makers and stakeholders defined in the business plan.

Key Responsibilities

Key Account Management

Design and implement a Key Account Management strategy for territory and coordinate all account level interactions.

Lead the development, implementation and regular evaluation and revisions of the detailed account-level business plan, aligned with the national brand objectives                                                                                                                                              

Provide regular and accurate territory performance reports and customer and environmental insights to the Hospital Sales manager and other members of the cross-functional team  

Identify when other resource (e.g. head office, Medical Advisor) is required in customer engagements and coordinate this engagement to deliver commercial objectives           

Drive the development of commercially positive formulary, guideline and protocol inclusions for promoted brands in target accounts across both secondary and primary care. This includes securing of reimbursement (where appropriate), permission to prescribe, as well as the subsequent implementation and business pull-through     

Sales Delivery

Accountable for achievement of the territory sales target                                                                                      

Promote and sell product(s) by influencing customer opinion (prescribing, non-prescribing and commercial)                                           

Establish strong business relationships with identified key customer groups to ensure commercial objectives are met as per plan             

Set and work to achieve agreed business objectives and deliver results with a short /medium term operational focus

 Measure Return on investment of resourcing decisions and keep within budget                                                                                                                          

Achieve expected levels of activity across customer groups                                                                                    

Develop and maintain records of all customer and territory information on the CRM system                                                                                                              

Report on customer call plans and customer product requirements, and provide regular progress reports on performance

Other

Ensure adherence to the national code of practice and to all company policies and procedures

Monitor market trends, competitor products and customer needs to identify new business objectives and provide timely feedback to all relevant internal stakeholders

Stays abreast of latest information in therapy area and maintains a high standard on training programmes and knowledge assessments

Required Education

Minimum degree level education.
