This position is with Recordati Rare Diseases, Inc. (RRD), North America, an affiliate of Recordati.

Overview

The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated US hematology marketing strategies for the Hematology Franchise, encompassing HCP, patient, and digital engagement initiatives. This role serves as the franchise marketing leader, translating business objectives into customer-centric strategies that strengthen brand performance, enhance customer engagement, and support franchise growth. Strong professional Marketing experience is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reports to VP Commercial Operations and is responsible for leading all aspects of the US Marketing function (HCP, Consumer, Digital) within the hematology franchise.
• Lead US Marketing strategy and execution and Ensure excellence in execution and consistency across functions. Competencies and expectations associated with the role include
• Responsible for the development of senior leadership performance updates, collaboration with global team, market research and analytics to develop and generate appropriate data.
• Lead a team of in-house and field-based marketers. Provide guidance and leadership to the Marketing Team to foster professional development and the effective implementation of all marketing initiatives, including PRC (Promotional Review Committee).
• Partner with healthcare communication agencies and market research agencies to develop product positioning and messaging for branded and non-branded initiatives.
• Oversee selection and management of vendors; negotiate and manage contracts, and establish performance criteria, i.e., timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Training to develop and implement commercial training programs for promotional brands ensuring alignment to marketing strategies.
• Oversee sales force deployment of marketing materials and programs maintaining close communication with sales leadership to ensure strategic execution in high opportunity areas
• Maintain compliance with all internal and external legal and regulatory guidelines as they relate to RRD marketing and commercial efforts.
• Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies including adverse events / pharmacovigilance responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as may be assigned. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience) required.
• An advanced degree in business and/or life sciences is desirable but not required. 
• 8 – 10 years of progressive industry experience (pharmaceutical/biotech, etc.), ideally in multiple functional areas such as sales, marketing, marketing communications, sales operations, business development and training/development.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and developing high-performing talent.Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
• Market development and launch experience strongly preferred
• Public relations or marketing services agency experience is highly desirable
• Buy and bill experience preferred.
• Project management skills preferred.
• Analytical skills preferred. 

Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of the US rare/specialty pharmaceutical market e.g. sales, marketing, distribution and reimbursement.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and anticipate trends within the competitive marketplace and leverage market intelligence to shape market planning and strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop team members.
• Functional expertise in areas central to pharmaceutical marketing and associated fields.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to emerging priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate effectively and build consensus across the organization.
• Experience with integrating multiple objectives in developing solutions to highly complex problems. 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Based upon job requirements, employee may be required at times to attend meetings including travel out of state over weekends and nights. Employee must be able to freely operate and travel by car and train/plane modes of transportation. Employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to fly via commercial air carrier. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally is required to lift and/or move light to moderate weight up to 25 lbs.

Location/Travel

• This position is based at RRD’s Headquarters in New Jersey.
• Travel up to 50%, or more as needed.

FLSA Classification

• This position is considered Exempt.

Disclaimer

The expected salary range for this role is $200,000 - $265,000, depending on skills, competency, and market demand for your expertise.
