Overview
The Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational HR partner to assigned business leaders, managers, and employee populations by delivering practical HR guidance and executing core people processes.
The Senior Manager, HRBP operates within a global biopharmaceutical organization and matrixed environment, partnering closely with North America business leaders, HR Centers of Excellence and Global HR colleagues to align talent and people strategies with business objectives while ensuring consistency with global programs, policies, and practices.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, relationship management, influencing skills, excellence, and the ability to effectively navigate a global matrix environment while balancing local business needs with enterprise priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day HR partnership and support to assigned leaders, managers, and employee populations.
• Support implementation and execution of people programs and processes, including performance management, development planning, talent processes, engagement actions, compensation planning, employee lifecycle activities and organizational priorities across North America.
• Coach managers on employee performance, feedback, documentation, policy application, and employee relations matters.
• Support employee relations matters within assigned scope, escalating complex, sensitive, or high-risk issues to senior HR leadership as appropriate.
• Assist leaders in identifying people-related needs, employee engagement opportunities, workforce considerations, and team effectiveness issues.
• Support organizational changes, role changes, reporting structure updates, and workforce planning activities under the guidance of senior HR leadership.
• Partner with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and other HR colleagues to support effective delivery of HR services and programs.
• Help ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and employment practices across assigned areas.
• Prepare and maintain HR documentation, employee-related summaries, data inputs, and process tracking as needed.
• Use available data, employee feedback, and manager input to identify trends and raise observations to senior HR leadership.
• Support execution of North America leadership development initiatives by coordinating with HR leadership, business leaders, and participants to help ensure effective implementation, communication, tracking, and follow-through.
• Support broader North America HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies, including adverse events / pharmacovigilance responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 or more years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
• Prior HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, employee relations, or HR program support experience required.
• Experience supporting leaders and employee populations within a global or multinational organization strongly preferred.
• Experience with performance management, employee relations, talent processes, HR policies, and
employee lifecycle activities preferred.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industry preferred.
• HR certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
• Solid HR generalist and business partner foundation.
• Ability to provide practical HR guidance to managers and employees within established policies and processes.
• Sound judgment and ability to recognize when escalation is needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, employee relations, and performance management practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on HR processes and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across HR and business teams.
• Ability to operate with increasing independence while effectively escalating complex or high-risk matters.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and related business tools.
Based upon job requirements, the employee may be required at times to attend meetings, including travel out of state or internationally. Employee must be able to travel by car, train, and/or plane modes of transportation. Employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation, as applicable.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to fly via commercial air carrier.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally is required to lift and/or move light to moderate weight up to 25 lbs.
Location/Travel
This position is based at Recordati Rare Diseases’ North America headquarters in New Jersey and is designated as hybrid. Hybrid roles are expected to maintain a regular presence in the office, with a minimum of three days per week onsite, to support business partnership, employee engagement, collaboration, and effective execution of HR priorities.
Travel may be required (up to 10%) based on business needs, including travel to field meetings, business unit meetings, leadership meetings, employee events, and other company-sponsored activities. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

This position is considered Exempt.

Base Salary Range: $109,800 to $165,000 annually. The base salary range represents the Company’s good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting. The actual base salary offered may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, skills, internal equity, business needs, and geographic location, where applicable.Annual Incentive: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus program, subject to the terms of the applicable plan and individual eligibility requirements.Benefits: Eligible employees may participate in a comprehensive benefits program, which currently includes medical, dental, orthodontia, and vision coverage; company-paid life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance; and short-term and long-term disability coverage.
