This position is with Recordati Rare Diseases, Inc. (RRD), North America, an affiliate of Recordati.

Recordati Rare Diseases, Inc. Overview

Under supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team supporting the month end close procedures with specific responsibility for Cash Flow, Forecasting, Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Analysis, Prepaid Insurance, Fixed Assets, Taxes, Statutory Reporting and Consolidation.  Additionally, the Senior Accountant will provide a high level of analytical support related to the consolidated financial statements including monthly Corporate Reporting (Detailed Forms) as well as other ad hoc analysis as required for the Vice President, Finance and Controller. The Senior Accountant will partner cross-functionally within the local organization as well as with global colleagues to support the Accounting and Finance close process. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Treasury
•    Responsible for maintaining Company banking accounts, moving balances as needed to meet cash requirements
•    Responsible for weekly cash flow
•    Responsible for monthly cash forecasting submissions
•    Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations
•    Hedge foreign currency transactions as needed
•    Ad hoc analyses as needed

Working Capital Analysis
•    Responsible for Balance Sheet Analytics
•    Establish monthly review of balance sheets accounts
•    Establish and oversee review process to ensure all accounts are reconciled
•    Review Entries made by other members to ensure accuracy
•    Oversee processes of A/P to ensure accurate booking of expenses and improvements to maintain integrity of expense recording

Statutory/Tax Reporting
•    Responsible for preparing annual Statutory reporting for Corporate Consolidation
•    Responsible for providing all information required to the external tax consultant for filing taxes in all jurisdictions and preparing the quarterly tax provision
•    Responsible for the administration of legal entity reporting including board of director minutes, changes to signature authorities, and annual statutory reporting
•    Responsible for preparing quarterly taxes paid analysis for Corporate reporting
•    Responsible for preparation of annual Census Survey and other surveys as needed
•    Ad hoc assignments as required
 

Education and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
•    5-7 years’ experience in an Accounting function
•    CPA preferred
•    Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, knowledge of IFRS a plus
•    Experience working within an international organization, partnering across multiple locations and time zones and with multiple currencies
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Hyperion, SAP S/4Hana and Concur
•    Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
•    Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results within a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Based upon job requirements, employee may be required at times to attend meetings including travel out of state over weekends and nights. Employee must be able to freely operate and travel by car and train/plane modes of transportation. Employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to fly via commercial air carrier. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally is required to lift and/or move light to moderate weight up to 25 lbs.

•    This position is based at RRD’s Headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ
•    Minimal travel required.
