Overview
The North American Regional Indirect Procurement Manager will establish and lead the Indirect Procurement function across the U.S. and Canada. This role is responsible for driving value through strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple categories and functions.
As a key contributor to business performance, this individual will ensure the cost-effective and timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with global category management and North American leadership priorities
Ensure alignment with budget targets and company guidelines
Negotiation & Supplier Strategy
Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms
Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to maximize value
Procurement Operations & Governance:
Establish and oversee procurement processes, tools, and governance frameworks
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on procurement systems and best practices
Contract Management
Oversee contract development, review, and compliance with agreed terms and conditions
Cost Optimization
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through market insights and supplier negotiations
Ensure compliance with preferred supplier programs and effectively manage tail spend
Process Improvement
Continuously enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and compliance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions to align procurement activities with business needs
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
Maintain compliance with pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting obligations
Category Expertise & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the regional subject matter expert across assigned spend categories
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver value
Additional Responsibilities

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field
5+ years’ experience in indirect procurement, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries preferred
Demonstrated success managing procurement strategies across multiple geographies and business units
Experience leading regional or global procurement initiatives
Ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders, including VP and GM-level leaders
Experience contributing to leadership team discussions and driving business outcomes
Relevant previous experience in a similar role, preferably in healthcare and/or in mass market distributed businesses.
Prior experience in establishing an Indirect Procurement organization within an affiliate of matrixed organization.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Based upon job requirements, employee may be required at times to attend meetings including travel out of state over weekends and nights. Employee must be able to freely operate and travel by car and train/plane modes of transportation. Employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally is required to lift and/or move light to moderate weight up to 25 lbs.
Location/Travel
Location: Bridgewater, NJ (Headquarters)
Hybrid: Minimum of 3 days onsite per week
Travel: Up to 25%, including domestic and international travel (Canada and Italy)

Disclosures
Base Pay Range: $109,800 to $164,700 per year.
