Overview
The Associate Director, U.S. Consumer Hematology Marketing will lead consumer marketing strategy and tactics, contributing to the ongoing launch of ENJAYMO (sutimlimab) – a first-in-class product. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies and tactics for patients. The individual should have experience working in a nimble, cross-functional environment, as they will work closely with patient support services, patient advocacy, medical, legal and regulatory. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy and creative problem-solving skills.
The development of short/ mid/ and long-term strategies, annual brand plans, tactical execution and related activities in rare disease is complex, challenging, and ever-changing. As such, the Associate Director of U.S.
Consumer Marketing requires scientific acumen, strong knowledge and application of marketing disciplines, as well as effective leadership skills to ensure collaboration, effective decision-making, and clear guidance to meet financial targets & other objectives with seamless execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead consumer marketing strategy for ENJAYMO (sutimlimab) in the U.S.
• Lead the development, creation, and implementation of innovative consumer promotional materials.
• Lead and contribute to unbranded disease education materials for patients.
• Lead digital strategy and content development for consumers across channels – e.g., paid search, paid social, and display. Monitor performance and make recommendations based on trends and investment analyses.
• Make significant contributions to the ENJAYMO (sutimlimab) brand plan and lead development of the tactical plan for patient engagement.
• Gather insights to inform consumer strategy and execution through leadership of patient advisory engagements and partnership with market research vendors.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of disease and market trends.
• Manage marketing agencies to foster a positive working relationship, to ensure high-quality materials are prepared for internal review by the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) and ensure project costs are managed to budget.
• Partner closely with patient-facing teams to ensure impactful resources and programs are developed and appropriately pulled through.
• Ensure that all marketing processes, documents, and tactics are developed and implemented in accordance with Recordati Rare Diseases, Inc. corporate compliance guidelines.
• Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with Patient Support Services, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions both within and outside of the Hematology Business Unit to meet or exceed brand objectives.
• Develop, recommend, and co-manage marketing budget for ENJAYMO (sutimlimab).
• When course correction is required, recommend or adjust with clarity and a sense of urgency.
• Contribute to the development and deliverance of clear and comprehensive business reviews (e.g., QBRs) as required.
• Identify & align all required resources - internally and externally - to ensure effective and seamless achievement of goals.
• Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies, including adverse events/pharmacovigilance responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as may be assigned. For example, be willing to support the development and execution of HCP tactics, and reallocation of time across segments – HCPs and patients.
• Knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape pertaining to pharmaceutical marketing, including medical/legal/regulatory review committee process.
• Experience managing external vendors and effective budget management.
• Ability to travel up to ~20% for internal and external meetings, and conferences.

Education and Experience
• BA/BS is required; MBA preferred.
• At least 8 years of biopharmaceuticals experience, with 5 in marketing or marketing-related functions in rare disease or specialty areas.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and demonstrated ability to drive performance.
• Previous significant experience in developing and executing brand strategic and tactical plans.
• Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Exhibits passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with patients by understanding their needs and desires.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Based upon job requirements, employee may be required at times to attend meetings including travel out of state over weekends and nights. Employee must be able to freely operate and travel by car and train/plane modes of transportation. Employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally is required to lift and/or move light to moderate weight up to 25 lbs.
Location and Travel
• This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office at company’s headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ).
• This position requires some domestic travel.
