Overview
Undersupervision ofthe Accounting Manager, the accountant will be an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team supporting the month end close procedures with specific responsibility for Sales, Payroll, Cash and Intercompany for four entities across US and Canada. Additionally, the Accountant will assist with accounts payable support and month-end accrual support. This role will have interaction across multiple functions within the organization as well as with the global controlling team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting & Month End Close Support
• Responsible for validating and recording monthly sales transactions and invoicing customers
• Record sales receipts, inclusive of chargebacks and other fees
• Responsible for calculation and invoicing of royalty income and royalty expenses
• Tracking of monthly Medicaid payments and preparation of Medicaid accrual analysis
• Partner with external payroll provider to obtain month-end payroll entries, review for appropriate accounting treatment and record entries
• Record intercompany transactions, partner with global counterparts to ensure alignment on transactions prior to booking
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany balances between related parties at month end
• Prepare applicable account balance detailed forms for corporate reporting package
• Assist with recording all cash transactions across 3 entities, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment is applied
• Assist in Pharmacovigilance reporting ofsales/units data
• Support annual audit by gathering requested documentation
• Adhoc analyses as required
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
• 2-5 years’ experience in an Accounting function
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, knowledge of IFRS a plus
• Experience working within an international organization, partnering across multiple locations and time zones and with multiple currencies
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP, Hyperion, and Concur
• Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results within a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Based upon job requirements, employee may be required at times to attend meetings including travel out of state over weekends and nights. Employee must be able to freely operate and travel by car and train/plane modes of transportation. Employee is required to have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to fly via commercial air carrier. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally isrequired to lift and/or move light to moderate weight up to 25 lbs.

• This position is based in office five days a week at RRD’s Headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ
• Minimal travel required.
