Job Purpose

Contribute to providing strategic medical and scientific guidance across portfolio assets through early and late life-cycle management (LCM) stages to include new indication and geographic expansion activities. Responsible for contributing to the development and operationalizing of the Medical Affairs Program(s) as per company SOPs, Policies, with attention to Ethical conduct of business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and operational delivery of Medical Affairs Program across assigned Commericalized and Development assets
  • Serve as medical point of contact for the Endocrinology portfolio across assigned Region and Country organizations, and where relevant Partner organizations.
  • Responsible for delivery prioritized medical objectives and tactics in alignment with company SOP, GxP, and company’s code of conduct
  • Design and deliver medical education programs leveraging omnichannel approachs to include but not limited to congress, digital and field engagements
  • Conduct of advisory boards in alignment with business needs
  • Integrates Medical Excellence into Franchise Medical Affairs activities
  • Liaises with the Global Medical Office (GMO) where applicable to foster cross-departmental alignment with the Global Endocrinology Franchise
  • Providing scientific support PV or medical information led activities
  • External medical expert (KOL) engagement inclusive of relationship building and engagement to support delivery of medical objectives as well as to support steering of portfolio Life-cycle management activities.
  • Support collection of current and emerging clinical practice and treatment land-scape insights

Required Education

  • MD degree is preferred, experience in Endocrinology and/or Diabetes Management is desired but not necessary

Required Skills and Experience

  • Several years of experience working in a pharmaceutical company with Global Footprint.
  • Demonstrated medical science acumen
  • At least 5 years experience in a Global-level Medical Affairs role
  • Prior country-level organization experience ideally as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and/or medical advisor 
  • Demonstrated Experience working within a matrixed environment.
  • Project Management/Budget abilities
  • Demonstrted Experience building relationships and working with External Medical Experts
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging leadership-by-influence competencies to lead cross-functional teams, task forces, and or worksteams
