Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Manage all engineering activities across the facility (maintenance, utilities, and technical operations) in compliance with GMP, labor law, environmental, and occupational safety regulations,
- Plan and manage new equipment and facility investments, including commissioning and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ),
- Develop maintenance strategies (preventive and predictive) to ensure production continuity,
- Ensure efficient operation of energy, water, and utility systems,
- Manage deviation, change control, and CAPA processes related to the Department,
- Lead the engineering team, monitor performance, and support employee development,
- Develop continuous improvement (Kaizen) and cost optimization projects ,
- Plan, prioritize, and manage the annual CAPEX budget,
- Conduct feasibility studies for new equipment, facility setup, and capacity increase projects,
- Effectively manage OPEX expenses, including maintenance, energy, spare parts, and technical services,
- Monitor and report budget performance regularly,
- Ensure cost/quality balance in supplier selection and contract processes,
- Perform ROI (Return on Investment) analyses.
Required Education
Required Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering,
- Preferably 5–10 years of managerial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including technical maintenance & repair management, energy management, facility management, machinery efficiency, technical improvements, and investment project management,
- Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes,
- Experience in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), environmental management, and energy efficiency practices,
- Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical systems, facility management, HVAC systems, water systems (PW/WFI), pressure control, building and infrastructure systems,
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and coordinating technical teams,
- Analytical, solution-oriented, systematic, with strong planning and follow-up capabilities,
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a results-driven Mindset,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English,
- For male candidates, completion of military service,
- Residing in or able to relocate to a location with easy access to the Cerkezkoy Plant.
